Tasty Treats

Have you ever watched a Disney movie and see one of the characters eating or making something that looked so tasty you just had to try it? Well, I do all the time, I love food and I love to try new things! Disney not only makes food look good but provides a culture behind each food they present. So let’s take a look at some of the foods Disney brings into their movies. I personally have not tried one of Tiana’s Man Catchin’ Beignets, but if I ever got the chance I totally would, I mean, everyone loved them in the movie! These delicious looking pastries are the state doughnuts of New Orleans, Louisiana where the movie The Princess and the Frog takes place. Tiana serves them to a party and that’s the favored table of the entire event. I know people who’ve tried them before and I’ve heard nothing but great responses about it. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of trying one, let me know in the comments, but before I end I want to talk about one more of the sweets I really want to try.

I hope you’ve all seen the movie Brave, if not go check it out, but this movie has a main character in the picture below that I believe is both magical and sweet. Harris, Hubert, and Hamish are magical and sweet characters but I’m talking about the treats at the feet. The boys clearly really like these sweet buns that they are willing to eat any they see, including one that someone clearly took a piece of. They are even willing to do favors for their older sister, Merida, if the reward is sweet. These sweets are called Scottish Sweet Bun and these are very populate amongst children. I would love to try these magical treats and hopefully I don’t turn into a bear. A lot of the food Disney puts into the movies all look so good, but these two definitely are at the

top of my list to try.
